Rescue services have completed the search at the crash site of passenger plane Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), flying from Baku to Grozny. This was reported on Thursday, December 26, by the press service of the Government of Kazakhstan.

"Rescue services have completed the search. 29 people have been hospitalized, 38 people died as a result of the plane crash. All victims have been carried out the necessary studies," - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel.

After stabilization of the patients' condition, they were distributed by profile and are being treated. Highly qualified specialists arrived from Astana to provide assistance.

It is specified that representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and a brigade of sanaviation of Azerbaijan also worked at the site.

Relatives of the victims are being assisted in accommodation, food and transportation.

A passenger plane of AZAL Airlines, heading on the route Baku - Grozny, crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau on December 25. After the crash, the plane caught fire. Preliminary, the cause of the fall of the airplane could be a collision with a flock of birds. After the crash, a criminal case was initiated.

On board, according to the list of AZAL, there were 62 passengers and five crew members. According to the latest data, seven Russians were killed, nine survived and hospitalized. Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev came to the victims of the plane crash. AZAL suspended flights from Baku to Grozny and Makhachkala until the investigation is completed.
