Survivors of the plane crash in Aktau told about what happened


Passenger Uvais Ediev, who survived the plane crash in Aktau, told Izvestia on December 26 that he lost consciousness when the plane hit the ground.
"How I got out, I don't remember, when the plane hit the ground I lost consciousness. Of course, it was scary to face death," he said.
Another passenger of the Baku-Grozny flight, Subkhonkul Rakhimov, said he was shooting video at the time of the accident. According to the man, he did not assume that he could be saved.
In addition, the director of the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Alexei Osipov told about the health of the victims. He noted that the condition of the surviving child is assessed as medium severity, while the well-being of the other passengers varies.
"In varying condition: from medium to severe. Everyone is stable. Our Kazakh colleagues have done the maximum work, promptly, coherently, did the maximum possible <...>," he noted.
On the same day from the Kazakh city of Aktau flew IL-76 of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, on board of which are Russian citizens, injured in the crash of the plane Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL). The ministry recalled that the flight was carried out on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Alexander Kurenkov. The flight was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
A passenger plane of AZAL Airlines, which was on the route Baku - Grozny, crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau on December 25. After the crash the plane caught fire. On board, according to the list of AZAL, there were 62 passengers and five crew members. According to the latest data, seven Russians were killed, nine survived and hospitalized. Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev, in turn, came to the victims of the plane crash. He said that 38 people died in the airplane crash.
At the site of the tragedy, search and rescue operations continue. AZAL has suspended flights from Baku to Grozny and Makhachkala until the investigation is completed.
