Representatives of aviation authorities of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan Airlines arrived in Kazakhstan

A delegation of the State Agency of Civil Aviation of Azerbaijan and representatives of Azerbaijan Airlines arrived in Kazakhstan after the plane crash in Aktau. This was reported in the Kazakh Ministry of Transport on December 26.

It also noted that the work at the scene of the accident is conducted in close cooperation with the aviation authorities of Azerbaijan.

It is specified that representatives of the aircraft manufacturer Embraer and CENIPA (Center for investigation and prevention of aviation accidents) will also arrive in Kazakhstan.

The Ministry added that a commission has been established to investigate the aviation incident, the field stage of the investigation is also being conducted on site.

"As part of the government commission headed by Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev in Aktau are the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Karabayev, Vice Minister of Transport Talgat Lastayev, Director of the Department for Investigation of Accidents and Incidents in Transport Nurzhan Malayev, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee Saltanat Tompiyeva, Director General of RSE "Kazaeronavigatsiya" Nurzhan Akhmetov," the ministry said in a statement published in its Telegram channel.

A passenger plane of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), heading on the route Baku - Grozny, crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau on December 25. After the crash the plane caught fire, the fire was extinguished. Preliminary, the cause of the fall of the airplane could be a collision with a flock of birds. After the crash, a criminal case was initiated.

The passenger list of AZAL includes 62 passengers and five crew members. According to the latest data, seven Russians died, nine survived and were hospitalized. A special airplane of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation will deliver to Moscow the citizens of the Russian Federation, injured in the crash, on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin. In turn, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev came to the victims of the plane crash. He also reported that as a result of the airplane crash killed 38 people.

At the site of the tragedy continue search and rescue work. AZAL has suspended flights from Baku to Grozny and Makhachkala until the investigation is completed.
