Artillerymen of the "Veterans" Artillery Brigade told about the peculiarities of fighting in the Kursk region

Soldiers of the separate sabotage assault brigade (ODSHBR) "Veterans" told Izvestia on December 26 about the situation at the line of contact in the border areas of Kursk Region.

"Ours pushed them back normally. Our gun stands closest to the front. We work out, they (fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. - Ed.) retreat a short distance, and immediately help flies to them," - said the operator with the call sign Lispus.

The militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) can take advantage of any misstep and open fire. The Russian Armed Forces military said that the enemy is holding on to the Kursk region as the last chance to demonstrate to its allies that Kiev is still capable of something.

The calculations of the ODSSBR "Veterans" work coherently, professionally and, most importantly, quickly. They skillfully camouflage their weapons and change positions so that the enemy has less chance of detecting them

The commander of the gun with the call sign Shigar noted that about 500 shells were spent during the month. By the standards of artillerymen, this is a very large number. He also added that the Ukrainian armed forces are struggling, as they have nowhere to retreat, so they are forced to fiercely counterattack and try to slow down the Russian army's advance.

According to Izvestia correspondent Alexander Safiulin, there are no outsiders in the Veterans Brigade. All the calculations have experience in combat and a clear understanding of why and wherefore they are here. These fighters are always on the most responsible directions. A year ago, this unit was among those who stormed Avdeevka. Now they are forcing the enemy out of Russian territory.

Earlier, on December 25, it became known that the AFU fighters for a day in the Kursk border area lost more than 230 servicemen. It is specified that the enemy lost more than 43,740 servicemen, 255 tanks, 194 BMPs, 136 armored personnel carriers, 1,318 armored combat vehicles, 42 MLRS launchers, 13 SAM launchers, 80 REB stations and 13 counter-battery radars.

At the same time, Grad multiple-launch rocket systems of the Army Corps of the "North" group of forces destroyed platoon strongholds and an accumulation of AFU personnel in Kursk Region.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
