Japanese airline JAL reported a cyberattack


One of the largest Japanese airlines Japan Airlines (JAL) reported a cyberattack that could affect domestic and international flights. This became known on Thursday, December 26.
The airline notes that the attack was set at 07:24 (01:24 Moscow time).
"Today at 07:24, the network equipment that connects our internal and external systems was subjected to a cyberattack, resulting in problems," JAL said in a statement published on social network X.
According to the company, the attack could affect domestic and international flights.
There was no information about canceled or delayed flights yet.
Earlier, on December 18, Washington launched an investigation into a major manufacturer of Wi-Fi routers from China TP-Link for possible involvement in cyberattacks. It is known that the U.S. Department of Commerce invited TP-Link representatives to the court.
