Electric cars in Greece are on the road due to the cold weather

Near the ski resort Arachova in Greece, a multi-kilometer traffic jam was formed due to technical problems with electric cars associated with low temperatures. This was reported by the country's police on December 25.
"Due to the low temperatures prevailing in the area, many electric cars had technical problems, resulting in them being immobilized while returning from a ski resort in the area," the statement said.
The tourists' vehicles were reportedly not prepared for the harsh weather conditions despite the snowfall in the region.
According to law enforcement officials, regular checks are carried out on motorists in the resort area to make sure vehicles are equipped with snow chains.
Greek police reminded that since December 24, all drivers in the country were obliged to equip cars with snow chains or other similar means in the absence of winter tires.
On the eve of the expert "VseInstrumenty.ru" Maxim Sokolov told "Izvestia" how to take care of the car before the onset of frost. According to him, it is important to check the wipers. If after the passage they leave behind them dirty streaks and divorces, it is likely that the rubbers have worn out. Such wipers will not withstand intensive use in extreme conditions of snowfall and ice.
