The Defense Ministry showed tankers training in the Krasnodar region

The training center of the Southern Military District (South Military District) stationed in the Krasnodar Territory is undergoing intensive training of crews of tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers (APCs). The crews of T-72B3 tanks destroyed a group of infantry of the conditional enemy at the training range. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on December 26.
"The tank servicemen have arrived to engage in their specialty - this is training for tank commanders, gunner-operators and mechanic-drivers <...> The emphasis is on crew cohesion. For this purpose, we have a crew commander, who constantly helps his gunner-operator if something does not work out," said a combat training instructor with the call sign Lesnik.
The training of T-72B3 tank crews begins with driving and first firing. The tank crews overcome an area of terrain with natural obstacles, take positions and then, at the instructor's command, fire from a 14.5 mm caliber barrel and a PKTM machine gun at a distance of 800-1200 meters. The firing is conducted by direct fire.
The agency noted that personnel undergo training from two weeks to several months. During this period, the instructors impart knowledge and skills of combat operations on this equipment, after which the servicemen leave for their military units to carry out tasks in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).
When training tank crews, team cohesion is important. The commander, driver mechanic and gunner-operator must continuously interact with each other to fulfill the assigned combat task.
"The tank commander must supervise the gunner and mechanic. Of course, I master these firing positions as well," said a member of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) with the call sign Balu.
T-72B3 tank crews train in cooperation with other units, including unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operators.
"People have desire, motivation. Our main task is to teach them," says a combat training instructor with the call sign "Lesnik".
Earlier, on December 13, the Russian Defense Ministry described how autonomous launchers of the Yars mobile ground-launched missile system (PGRC) in the Barnaul missile unit performed maneuvering actions on combat patrol routes. The Yars PGRC "Yars" calculations made marches of up to 100 km, dispersal of units with the change of field positions and their engineering equipment, organization of camouflage and combat guarding.
On the same day, the Defense Ministry reported that the combat training program for assault units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation introduced training for operations in tunnels and underground communications. This approach is necessary to increase the effectiveness of work in taking enemy positions.
