Su-34 crew destroys AFU stronghold and manpower in Kursk border region


The crew of the Su-34 multirole supersonic fighter-bomber of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) has struck personnel and a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of Kursk Region. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on December 26.
It is noted that the strike on scouted enemy targets was carried out by aircraft bombs with a universal planning and correction module (UMPK).
The crew returned safely to the departure airfield after receiving confirmation from intelligence about the destruction of the assigned combat targets.
Earlier, on December 25, crews of the Russian Air and Space Forces' Su-35S multi-purpose super-maneuverable Russian fighter jets with controlled thrust vectoring performed air cover for VKS crews in the border area of the Kursk region.
Before that, on December 22, it was reported that the Russian Air Force's Su-34 VKS crew struck at AFU personnel and a stronghold in the border area of Kursk Region. All targets were hit, the crew returned safely to the departure airfield.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
