ASI head Chupsheva named priority areas for import substitution

Director General of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) Svetlana Chupsheva told Izvestia in an interview on Thursday, December 26, about the key areas for technological development.

She specified that among the priority projects are artificial intelligence, new industry and energy, biotechnology.

Robotization and automation are also among the important directions. Chupsheva emphasized that there is currently an increase in the number of projects in the field of UAS (unmanned aircraft systems). She emphasized the need to create "points of concentration of technological development" where investors, entrepreneurs and innovators can unite.

"Certainly, we support technologies to improve the quality of life of people. There is a lot here, of course, technological solutions in medtech. This, again, and technologies based on artificial intelligence, if we are talking about a system of support for medical decisions, accurate diagnosis of various human examinations," - said the head of ASI.

Chupsheva also noted the importance of technical means of rehabilitation, which help restore lost functions of the body.

Earlier, on December 6, a new method of creating polymers with increased heat resistance was developed by scientists of the Center for STI "Digital Materials Science" of Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Thanks to this method, the domestic industry will be able to import substitutes for those materials that were previously produced only outside the Russian Federation.
