Corporal Sorokovoy evacuated severely wounded fellow soldiers under enemy fire

While under enemy fire, Sergeant Dmitry Sorokovoy evacuated severely wounded servicemen to a shelter, where he subsequently provided them with first aid and organized their evacuation. On Thursday, December 26, the Russian Defense Ministry told about new feats of Russian servicemen in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).
At nightfall, under the conditions of drone use and systematic mortar fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Sorokovoy personally carried two seriously wounded servicemen to the evacuation area.
The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the selflessness of Private Nikita Makarov, who, while at an observation post, detected and shot down an AFU drone approaching Russian positions. Realizing that there was a threat of drone detonation, Makarov, risking his life, defused an explosive device on the fallen drone.
Earlier, on December 25, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Private Ivan Vladimirov had hit a machine gun crew and some infantry of the AFU. Despite numerical superiority, the Ukrainian fighters suffered significant losses and retreated.
Prior to that, on December 24, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Private Anatoly Zhukovets suppressed an AFU machine gun crew, hit a part of the Ukrainian servicemen's manpower and hit a vehicle on which they were advancing. Zhukovets acted decisively on his own piece of terrain under relentless fire from Ukrainian fighters.
The special operation to defend Donbass, which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
