The escape of 1,500 inmates from a Mozambique prison left 33 dead


In Mozambique, at least 1,534 inmates escaped from the central high-security prison in Maputo, killing 33 people. This was reported on December 25 by the Portuguese agency Lusa.
The escape occurred during the riots after the announcement of the results of the presidential election. It is noted that it was planned, responsibility for the incident is attributed to the protesters after the election.
