There was an avalanche in the Austrian Tyrol.
An avalanche occurred in Innsbruck in Tyrol. This was reported by the publication Kronen Zeitung on December 25.
According to the dispatch center of Tyrol, at the time of the avalanche there was a group of 10 people, but it was quickly found.
"An avalanche of loose snow came down, but at first it was unknown how many people were buried under it," the report noted.
It is currently being ascertained whether there are still people under the avalanche. The rescue operation involves several police helicopters, mountain rescuers from the cities of Innsbruck and Hall, as well as search dogs and doctors.
Earlier, on December 24, the participant of the Olympics-2022, snowboarder from Switzerland Sophie Hediger died in an avalanche in the Alps at the age of 26.
