Director of the films "I Choose Love" and "Service" Yuri Scherbakov died

Film director and cameraman Yuri Shcherbakov, who made the films "I Choose Love" and "Service" died at the age of 79. This December 25 reported on the website of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia.

Yuri Shcherbakov as a director was known for the films "Confessions of the Devil", "I Choose Love", "Service" and "The Party of the Chess Officer".

From a young age he devoted himself to work in the Rostov studio of newsreel. After graduating from VGIK, Shcherbakov studied to be a cameraman and was the head of the creative association "Contact". He headed the "Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation" in 2011-2019.

It is reported that the director died on November 27. The cause of death is not specified.
