Black box found at the site of airplane crash in Kazakhstan

Speech black box (flight recorder) was found at the site of the plane crash in Kazakhstan, reported December 25 in the operational headquarters at the scene.

It is specified that the black box is suitable for deciphering.

"The black box has been found and attached to the physical evidence," the Interfax news agency reports the words of the chief transport prosecutor of the Republic of Kazakhstan Timur Suleimenov .

A passenger plane of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), heading on the route Baku - Grozny, crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau on December 25. After the crash the plane caught fire, the fire was extinguished. Preliminary, the cause of the fall of the airplane could be a collision with a flock of birds. After the crash, a criminal case was opened under the article "Violation of safety rules in the operation of vehicles, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence".

Later, Azerbaijan Airlines published a list of passengers of the crashed airplane near Aktau, it includes 62 people. According to the latest data, seven Russians died, nine survived and were hospitalized. Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev said that 38 people were killed in the airplane crash.

Search and rescue operations continue at the site of the tragedy. Azerbaijan Airlines has suspended flights from Baku to Grozny and Makhachkala until the investigation is completed. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev declared December 26 a day of mourning in the republic for the victims of the plane crash.
