Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said that the response to the Kiev regime's terrorist attacks should be based on the principle "measure seven times and cut once". He said this on the air of the "60 Minutes" program on the Rossiya-1 TV channel on December 25 .

"We are patient people, but sometimes, you know, seven times measure, one time cut off. Sometimes you have to measure so that you cut off the full program," Lavrov said.

He added that it is not necessary to do something immediately after Ukraine strikes Russian cities. It is possible to wait a little for a better attack.

Earlier, on December 21, Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma's defense committee, said that Russia would respond to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' (AFU) drone attacks on Kazan. Kolesnik also noted that the situation in Ukraine is likely to change after the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories amid the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the AFU.
