"The whole country, all Russians are proud of you, because you are always on the front lines, always on guard of our Motherland. Thank you," he addressed the fighters.

In addition, Goremykin awarded the medal "For Merit to the Fatherland" II degree and the medal of St. Luke of Crimea to the medical staff of the hospital for services in the field of health care and distinctions shown in the course of medical support of special operation tasks. Separately, a number of employees were awarded the honorary titles "Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation" and "Honored Health Worker of the Russian Federation".

Earlier, on December 24, First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Defense Leonid Gornin presented state awards to the participants of the SWO undergoing treatment and rehabilitation at the Central Military Clinical Hospital named after A.A. Vishnevsky. Moreover, he presented departmental medals to the officers of the hospital.

On the same day, state awards were presented to Rosgvardeys participating in the SSO, as well as to military doctors of the Main Military Hospital of the department. The soldiers were also congratulated on the coming New Year, wished them recovery and handed gifts.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
