Dmitry Gusev, deputy head of the "Just Russia - For Truth" faction, has proposed to limit the ability of cab drivers to overcharge for their services. He told "Izvestia" about it on December 26.

Currently, in case of unforeseen circumstances, that is, "under the influence of unplanned short-term changes in market conditions," the cost of a cab can increase by a maximum of 20%.

The parliamentarian suggested that the amendments should be taken into account in the draft law of the Ministry of Economic Development "On platform economy in the Russian Federation", the adjustments have already been sent to the Ministry of Economic Development. In his opinion, this approach will protect the weaker party in the relationship - the consumer. The draft law of the Ministry of Economic Development has already been received by the government apparatus and left for coordination in other ministries. Once a unified version of the document is worked out, it will be submitted to the State Duma for consideration.

"[As a result of the restrictions] prices will remain stable even in unfavorable conditions. And they will not grow like yeast on the eve of holidays, as is happening now with cab prices," - said Gusev.

Earlier, November 7, it was reported that the deputies of the LDPR faction headed by Leonid Slutsky prepared a package of bills, which, among other things, proposes to fine cab aggregators for the transfer of orders to drivers without authorization. It is also proposed that the requirements imposed on the owner of an aggregator should be set out in a similar way to the requirements for a passenger cab ordering service.
