Relative of the passengers of the plane that crashed in Aktau reported the disappearance of the sisters

Ibrahim Khallayev, a relative of the passengers of the airplane that crashed in Aktau, said that nothing is known about the fate of his sisters and daughter-in-law, who were on board. He told Izvestia on December 25.

The man, along with his son, was waiting at the airport for the arrival of his relatives. The couple registered the relationship less than two months ago.

"Married my son, and daughter-in-law was born in Makhachkala, lived, citizenship there. <...> She is 20 years old, 2004. And my sisters I have one 1961, the other 1973," he says.

According to Khallayev, he has no connection with his female relatives, also information about their condition has not been established.

"My daughter-in-law wrote to my son: 'We have already boarded the plane, everything is normal, we will leave soon, we will be there in an hour. We came here, at first we waited. Then to Vladikavkaz [the plane left] <...>, then no, to Makhachkala, then the plane went back to Baku because of the fog. And then Aktau, Kazakhstan. And they were waiting. And then, they say, such things ... We saw a video of a plane falling down," Khallayev recalled.

The man felt ill because of the news and went to the medical staff. Now he is better, and together with his son he is waiting for news about his relatives.

Emergency Situations Ministry employees are on duty at the airport. Also psychologists and doctors provide assistance to relatives and loved ones of the passengers of the plane.

A fire started at the scene and there are survivors

Earlier in the day it became known that one of the survivors of the crash flew to Grozny to surprise his family. His relatives reacted with tears, the young man is in a stable non-serious condition.

A passenger plane of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), en route Baku - Grozny, crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau on December 25. After the crash the aircraft caught fire, the fire was extinguished. Preliminarily, the cause of the fall of the airplane could be a collision with a flock of birds, but other versions are also considered. As it was later reported, the separation of the tail part of the airplane in Aktau was a possible reason for saving the lives of many passengers.

Later, Azerbaijan Airlines published a list of passengers of the airplane that crashed near Aktau. 62 people were listed in the list. It is known that 32 people survived the crash. The Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) told Izvestia that there were no organized groups of Russian tourists on board. In the plane, tentatively, 16 Russians were flying, 10 of them survived and are hospitalized.

A criminal case has been opened under the article "Violation of safety rules in the operation of a vehicle, causing the death of two or more persons by negligence". Search and rescue operations at the site of the plane crash in Kazakhstan continue.
