A powerful class X flare may occur on the Sun on December 25

On December 25, the Sun may be a flare of class X (the highest power level). This was reported on December 25 on the website of the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the Institute for Space Research (ISR) and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics (ISPP).

They noted that over the past day the probability of formation of large flares on the Sun has increased sharply. Scientists attribute this to the growth of background X-ray radiation and an increase in the area of solar active centers.

"The threshold of level X can be overcome today," - indicated in the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy.

She noted that people with cardiovascular diseases (hypertension, ischemic heart disease), neurological problems (migraine), endocrine disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal system are the most sensitive to weather changes.

On December 24, five M-class flares (penultimate power level) occurred on the Sun. December 20, the Sun also had two flares of class M.
