Exeed RX assembled near Moscow has been certified in Russia


The Russian-built Exeed RX crossover has completed the certification process and received the Vehicle Type Approval (VTA). Information about this appeared in the database of Rosstandart, reports Telegram-channel "Chinese cars" on December 25.
In the document, the assembly site Exeed RX specified the former Mercedes-Benz plant in the industrial park "Esipovo" in the Moscow region. There are no technical details about the domestically assembled model yet.
In June, Kommersant reported that the former Mercedes-Benz plant in Esipovo near Moscow will assemble cars of Chery's premium Exeed brand. In late May, the Russian Car Telegram channel reported that the Exeed VX and TXL crossovers were certified for assembly at the former Mercedes-Benz plant in Esipovo near Moscow.
The former Mercedes-Benz plant in Esipovo near Moscow belongs to the dealer holding Avtodom. So far it has not been officially announced which models of which brands will be put on the assembly line of the enterprise.
On November 20, it was reported that the ex-Mercedes-Benz plant in Esipovo produced a batch of cars of two models - the E-class sedan (W213) and the second-generation crossover GLC. The cars were assembled from car kits that were delivered to the new owner together with the enterprise.
