Three agro-clusters will be created in the Pskov region in 2025

Agro-clusters will be opened in three districts of the Pskov Oblast in 2025. They will be created within the framework of the Agrarian Classes project. The goal is to help schoolchildren learn marketable agricultural professions, understand the specifics of agricultural activities and prepare for employment in the region.

ThePskov newswire was told in the regional education committee that eight agrarian classes are now operating in the region in schools in Bezhanitsky, Velikoluksky, Kunyinsky, Novosokolnichesky, Sebezhsky districts, as well as in Loknyansky and Nevelsky municipal districts. They provide training to 123 schoolchildren.

Training is conducted in cooperation with the Velikoluk Agricultural Academy. The fields of study are veterinary science, crop production, economics, soil science, mechanization, and biotechnology.

Next year new agro-classes will be opened in Pskov, Porkhov and Palkinsky districts. It is planned to expand the profiles of education in cooperation with agro-industrial enterprises.
