Four people killed after AFU shelling in Lgov, Kursk region

Four people were killed and five others injured after the Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled the town of Lgov in Kursk Region. This was reported on December 25 by Alexander Khinshtein, acting head of the region, noting that the operational headquarters of the local government has been deployed in Lgov.

"According to preliminary information, as a result of the barbaric shelling by the AFU of peaceful L'gov three people were killed, another later died in hospital," - stated in his Telegram-channel.

Five victims are hospitalized in the hospital, one of the women is in serious condition. They are receiving the necessary assistance.

It is noted that after the impact seriously damaged a residential five-story house and two residential one-story houses. There are also destructions in a one-storey beauty salon. At the moment, all hotbeds of fire extinguished the forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"In the neighboring private residential houses the blast wave blew out the windows, damaged at least 12 cars. Also because of the impact was destroyed a minor section of the gas pipeline. Gas and electricity supply in the damaged and neighboring houses temporarily disconnected, emergency crews are starting their restoration," - said Hinshtein.

Earlier in the day, Hinshtein reported that the AFU struck civilian facilities and infrastructure in the town of Lgov in the Kursk region. He noted that operational and emergency services are working at the scene. The situation is under control.

On the same day it was reported that the means of air defense (air defense) overnight hit 59 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions. It was specified that 26 drones were shot down over the territory of Belgorod region, 23 - over the territory of Voronezh region, three drones each - over the territories of Kursk, Bryansk and Tambov regions and one - over the waters of the Sea of Azov.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
