Defense Ministry reports massive strike on Ukrainian energy facilities

The Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces) have hit Ukrainian energy facilities that supply the country's military-industrial complex (MIC). This was reported by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry on Wednesday, December 25.
"This morning the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a massive strike with long-range precision weapons and strike drones on critical facilities of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, which ensure the work of the military-industrial complex," the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry specified that the goal of the strike had been achieved and all the facilities had been hit.
Earlier in the day, the Ukrainian daily Strana wrote that explosions had occurred in several Ukrainian cities, including Kharkiv and Dnipro. In addition, it was reported about explosions in Kryvyi Rih and in the city of Burshtyn. "Ukrenergo" in turn announced about blackouts.
Russian troops in October 2022 began strikes on military facilities and related energy and communications facilities in Ukraine. As Russian President Vladimir Putin explained, this was a response to the Kiev regime's terrorist actions.
