Christina Yevstigneeva, who survived the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane, has been hospitalized in serious condition. This was reported to "Izvestia" on December 25 by her mother Nina.

"Contacted the hospital, I have already received a call, everything was reported. In a serious condition in neurosurgery. In the city of Aktau. Alive, but in a serious condition," she specified.

According to the interlocutor of the publication, Christina was on this flight for work and was supposed to return on December 27. The girl's mother said that she was on the plane without friends or relatives. The last time Nina communicated with her daughter before the departure of the plane.

An Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane traveling on the Baku-Grozny route crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau earlier in the day. The plane caught fire after the crash, the fire was extinguished. According to the latest data, 32 people survived the accident.

Preliminary, the cause of the accident could be a collision with a flock of birds. On the fact of the crash, a criminal case was opened under the article "Violation of safety rules in the operation of vehicles, causing the death of two or more persons by negligence".

The Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) told Izvestia that there were no organized groups of Russian tourists on board the Azerbaijan Airlines plane that crashed in Aktau. Later, the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan reported that, according to preliminary information, there were 16 Russians on board.
