According to the results of 2024, the federal budget of Russia will apparently receive income from privatization in the amount of 130 billion rubles, although only 80 billion rubles of such profit was planned. This was announced by Anton Siluanov, head of the Russian Finance Ministry, in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV channel on December 25.

"We have exceeded our plans from the sale of property this year. And this year we will receive more than 130 billion rubles of such revenues from privatization, from the sale of property, which is higher than our plans. This policy will continue next year," said Siluanov, his words are quoted in the Telegram channel of the program "Vesti".

He clarified that the budget initially included 80 billion rubles of such income, but it is likely to be higher. The Ministry of Finance plans to profitably sell business assets that come to it, so that they are managed by private individuals, and the assets work.

Earlier, on October 19, Siluanov told Izvestia at the Moscow Financial Forum - 2024 (MFF-2024) that the Finance Ministry had sent a new package of privatization proposals to the government. The minister pointed out that the government realizes the importance of reducing state participation in the Russian economy.

Natalia Milchakova, a leading analyst at Freedom Finance Global, told Izvestia on July 4 that the growth of revenues and their exceeding the plan depend on how large and investor-interesting enterprises were put up for bidding for privatization. The expert emphasized that such additional budget revenues can reduce the budget deficit.
