This was reported to "Izvestia" on Wednesday, December 25, in the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

With the participation of buses 16 accidents were recorded, in which three people were killed, another 20 required medical care. The cause of 15 accidents with buses were violations of traffic rules committed by drivers of other vehicles.

As a result of the accident, the driver and two passengers of the passenger car died, another passenger of the car was hospitalized with injuries.

The traffic police urged motorists to observe traffic rules and driving discipline. For safety reasons drivers should exclude risky manner of driving, especially in conditions of dark time of day in winter, not to neglect the established speed limit and not to make dangerous maneuvers, which often become the cause of accidents with serious consequences.

Two children died: a pedestrian and a passenger. So, in one of the settlements of Omsk region the drunk driver of a passenger car made a collision with two pedestrians - a three-year-old girl and her mother, who were moving on the roadside towards the car that hit them. The mother was rolling her daughter in a sled ahead of her. The young pedestrian died, and the young woman was with injuries in the hospital. The driver fled the scene of the accident, but later he was tracked down.

The traffic police reminded motorists of the inadmissibility of driving while intoxicated and urged road users not to remain indifferent to the problem of drunkenness at the wheel, to timely report to the police about drivers who behave inadequately on the road, driving while intoxicated. Employees of the State Automobile Inspectorate are ready to take all necessary operative measures of response to such messages.

In addition, in the Saratov region in the daytime on a regional highway, a woman driver of a domestic SUV failed to cope with the control on the winter slippery road and drove off it, after which the vehicle overturned. As a result of the accident, her nine-year-old passenger, who was in the back row and was wearing a seat belt, died. The driver herself received minor injuries and after medical assistance was sent for outpatient treatment.

The traffic police urges motorists to carry out transportation of children in strict compliance with the current safety rules. Also remember that the life and health of young passengers depend entirely on your skills, driving experience, well-being and law-abiding behavior on the road. Transporting children, be especially attentive, collected, careful and do not get distracted behind the wheel, controlling the traffic situation, said "Izvestia" deputy head of the department of propaganda of the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, police colonel Anton Belan.

Earlier, on December 20, the Federation Council approved at the plenary session of the law, which increases fines for a number of traffic violations, reduces the discount on payment of fines, and also introduces punishment for repeated driving without a MTPL policy.
