Kazakhstan's Health Ministry reported 28 survivors of the plane crash in Aktau


When the plane of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), flying from Baku to Grozny, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan, 28 people survived, they were taken to hospitals. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic on December 25.
"According to preliminary operational data, 28 people have been delivered to medical institutions, the conditions of varying degrees of severity. They are provided with all the necessary medical care in hospitals in the region," the ministry said in a statement in its Telegram channel.
They added that 23 ambulance crews were sent to the scene. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan added in its Telegram-channel that there were two children among the survivors.
Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov signed a decree creating a government commission to investigate the causes of the plane crash.
"The commission includes the deputy prime minister, the akim of Mangistau region, the leadership of the ministries of emergency situations, transport, foreign affairs, internal affairs, labor and social protection of the population, health care, the chief transport prosecutor," - stated in a message on the website of the head of the government of Kazakhstan.
Members of the Commission were instructed to immediately fly to the scene of the accident, to ensure a comprehensive investigation of the incident and take measures to provide priority assistance to the families of the dead and injured. The governments of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan cooperate in this work.
