Rosaviatsia maintains contact with Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and with the authorities of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan regarding the crash of the plane Baku - Grozny near the Kazakh city of Aktau. This was reported by Rosaviatsia spokesman Artem Korenyako on December 25.

"Rosaviatsia is in contact with the carrier AZAL, aviation authorities of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.

Korenyako specified that the plane crash occurred at 9:30 Moscow time. The model of the aircraft is Embraer 190. Its commander after the collision with birds decided to go to an alternate airfield, choosing Aktau.
