The AFU attacked civilian facilities and infrastructure in L'gov in Kursk region

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have struck civilian facilities and infrastructure in the town of Lgov in Kursk Region. This was reported on December 25 by Alexander Khinshtein, the region's deputy head, who said.

"Another crime of the Nazi regime. The civilian objects and infrastructure of Lgov were struck," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.

According to Khinstein, operational and emergency services are working at the scene. Information about the consequences of the attack is being clarified. The regional head noted that the situation is under control.

Hinshtein urged residents of the Kursk region to trust only official sources of information.

On the same day it was reported that the means of air defense (air defense) overnight hit 59 Ukrainian drones over the regions of Russia. It is specified that 26 drones were shot down over the territory of Belgorod region, 23 - over the territory of Voronezh region, three drones each - over the territories of Kursk, Bryansk and Tambov regions, and one - over the waters of the Sea of Azov.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by the Russian President on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the worsening situation in the region.
