As part of the education development strategy, monetary bonuses for good results of their students will be introduced for teachers. This was announced by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko on Wednesday, December 25.

"Of the additional issues that are now being worked out, this is a question, for example, related to rewarding for results, when teachers will be rewarded additionally for the fact that their pupils show outstanding results," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Chernyshenko noted that work is now underway with the Federal Tax Service (FTS) to create a fair system of payments. He emphasized the importance of this system to objectively reflect teachers' contribution to students' results.

Deputy Prime Minister added that the draft education development strategy until 2036 will be submitted to the presidential administration in March 2025. There are 14 working groups working on the strategy, as well as a separate group, which will deal with the consolidation of all materials into a single text. The first version of the strategy will be ready in January.

Earlier, on December 18, Chernyshenko said that representatives of all 89 subjects of the Russian Federation are involved in the development of the strategy. He noted that the goal is to create a modern and flexible education system that meets national needs to achieve sovereignty and leadership, with mandatory consideration of the views of citizens.
