One person died in a fire in the Alania Mall shopping center

One person was killed in a fire in the shopping center "Alania Mall" in Vladikavkaz. This was reported by the head of the Republic of North Ossetia Sergey Menyailo on December 25.

"Information on the victims: one woman died. She was inside at the time of the incident. The condition of another victim is being clarified. He was taken away by medics," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.

As Menyailo specified, the territory is cordoned off, an investigation team is working on the site. They are trying to localize the fire, they are also inspecting all the premises for fire points and searching for people who may be inside.

According to Izvestia's source, eight people were injured. The prosecutor's office of North Ossetia is establishing the circumstances of the incident.

In the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said that the third floor and the roof of the shopping center are burning.
