Media reported about Congress revising the draft US budget because of Musk

American entrepreneur and billionaire Ilon Musk forced the U.S. Congress to reconsider the draft budget on Christmas Eve, writing more than 150 messages about it on his page in the social network X (formerly Twitter). Politico Magazine reported on December 25.
"Republicans in the House are in a state of chaos after pushing through a hastily crafted package to fund the government," the article said.
As the publication notes, because of Musk's online posts, frustration with Speaker Mike Johnson is now growing and divisions among Republicans are spilling out into the public eye.
It notes that Musk's "act fast and get by" approach is completely at odds with the culture in Washington, D.C., where they're used to operating without risk aversion.
"It's a warning sign <...> that carefully crafted plans will be blown up by the decree of the richest man in the world," the piece said.
According to Politico, as part of his cost-cutting and government streamlining efforts, Musk may tear "the government structure to the ground," even though such actions could lead to disorder and chaos.
Earlier, on December 19, the billionaire called the assistance to Ukraine one of the worst decisions of the United States. Thus, the entrepreneur reacted to the post of public figure Josie Glabach, in which she criticized the US government's $60 billion aid to Ukraine. Also in December, he was outraged over the large US spending on Ukraine. The businessman called the amount of US financial aid insane.
Newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump, a Republican, announced in November that Musk and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy would lead a new structure - the Department of Government Efficiency, which will also oversee the fight against corruption.
The election for the 47th president of the United States took place on November 5. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 47.4%. Later, the politician, speaking to supporters, called himself the 47th President of the United States and said that his goal as head of state considers the end of military conflicts in the world.
