Solovyinsky Pond rehabilitation completed in Moscow

Rehabilitation of Solovyinsky pond in the south-west of Moscow has been completed. This was reported on December 24 by Deputy Mayor of the capital on housing and public utilities and landscaping Pyotr Biryukov.

According to him, the condition of the pond, located in the zone of established residential development, was unsatisfactory. Specialists cleaned the ponds from silt, repaired the shoreline, and also arranged a zone of bioplato with a total area of 370 square meters, the banks were filled with gravel and crushed stone. In early December in Sokolniki Park in Moscow completed the rehabilitation of five Deer Ponds. Water bodies with the area of 2.9 hectares were cleaned from silt, the coastal strips were repaired and the work of spillway structures was restored.

In October, the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin said that in the South Administrative District specialists have carried out work on the rehabilitation of the third and fourth Warsaw ponds, strengthening the banks and planting aquatic plants, writes NSN.
