Kazan airport has introduced temporary flight restrictions

Temporary restrictions have been imposed on the work of the airport in Kazan. This was reported on December 25 by the press secretary of the Federal Air Transport Agency (FAA) Artem Korenyako.
"The air harbor temporarily does not accept and does not send flights," - said in his message published in the Telegram-channel.
Korenyako noted that all necessary measures are taken to ensure the safety of flights.
Earlier, on December 21, Rosaviatsia also imposed restrictions on the reception and dispatch of flights at Kazan airport for security purposes after the Ukrainian drone attack on Tatarstan.
At the same time, the Defense Ministry reported that a drone of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) was destroyed over Tatarstan at around 7:50 Moscow time. Later, the Kazan mayor's office specified that as a result of the strikes there was a fire in houses in the Sovetsky and Kirovsky districts. The arrival of the drone was recorded on video. In addition, the source of "Izvestiya" reported that the drone hit a house in the residential complex "Manhattan".
The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
