Russian Armed Forces fighters destroyed an AFU infantry unit in Kursk region

Fighters of the Russian Armed Forces destroyed a unit of the 47th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near the Leonidovo settlement in Kursk Region during offensive actions. This was reported by a representative of the security services on December 25.

"An infantry unit of the AFU belonging to the 47th mechanized brigade was destroyed near the settlement of Leonidovo in Kursk region <...>," RIA Novosti quoted a representative of the security services as saying.

As he specified, three militants were taken prisoner, four more were destroyed.

"The army is commanded by me and the sergeant!"

How fighters of the "Center" group prepare for assault operations

Earlier in the day, the army corps of the "North" group of forces destroyed platoon strongholds and an accumulation of AFU manpower in the border area of the Kursk region with the calculations of multiple rocket launchers (MLRS).

Ukraine's armed forces attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory are being liquidated.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by the Russian President on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the worsening situation in the region.
