An Amur tiger was hit by a car near the village of Barabash in the Khasansky district of Primorsky Krai. This was reported on December 25 by the directorate of the reserves "Land of the Leopard".

"The wild animal survived the collision and hid in the forest - searches are underway with the use of quadrocopter by employees of the hunting supervision and specialists of the "Land of the leopard", - informed the press service in Telegram-channel.

It is specified that the driver, moving at a permissible speed, in the darkness noticed the tiger jumped out on the road in front of the car and took measures to prevent an accident, but emergency braking did not help. After the collision, the tiger immediately left the scene, hiding in the forest, while the driver reported the incident to the relevant services.

"The injuries sustained by the tiger could be life-threatening. Specialists are using a quadrocopter to monitor the area from the air and assess the possible location of the tiger," the representatives of the Directorate of Nature Reserves added.

Earlier, on December 19, a car collided with a tiger in Khabarovsk Krai, the predator died of his injuries. It is reported that another tiger was seen not far from the scene of the incident. Possible exit of the predator on the roadway.
