WSJ called declining mental capacity a legacy of Biden's presidency

U.S. President Joe Biden will leave behind him a legacy in the form of a decline in his mental abilities, the scale of which the inhabitants of America have yet to realize. This was stated by columnist and member of the editorial board of The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) Jason Riley on December 24.
According to him, this is a scandal that could be the main legacy of Biden's presidency.
Riley explains that in February 2024, U.S. Special Prosecutor Robert Hur called Biden an elderly man with a bad memory and decided not to charge him with mishandling classified documents, despite evidence that the president intentionally kept such papers with him.
According to the columnist, followers of the U.S. Democratic Party were unhappy with the way Hur described the president's diminished mental capacity.
"We later learned that Biden's supporters were not just misleading the public about the president's condition. White House staffers were misleading the president himself," Riley writes.
He also notes that before leaving the presidential race, Biden regularly disagreed with reporters about the accuracy of pre-election polls, as he was likely not given the real data.
Earlier in the day, The Washington Post (WP), citing anonymous sources familiar with the situation, said that US President Joe Biden wants to impose new anti-Russian sanctions. It is specified that this may be undertaken to give the new team of US President-elect Donald Trump leverage in negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict.
Before that, on December 20, American political scientist Malek Dudakov told Izvestia that the current US President Joe Biden will be the first of his predecessors to enter as the most non-self-governing head of state.
Earlier, on July 21, US Vice President-elect from the Republican Party James David Vance noted that incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris lied to citizens for four years about Biden's mental abilities.
Before that, on July 6, it became known that the radio host of the station WURD Andrea Loful-Sanders admitted to receiving from the White House instructions and a list of questions that could be asked to the American leader during the interview. The radio station, in turn, fired the journalist.
The 82-year-old Biden is the oldest president in the history of the United States, the state of his health regularly becomes a cause for discussion and concern among citizens. Strange behavior and frequent mistakes of the American leader make many Americans question his mental health.
