The Defense Ministry shared footage of awarding Russian military personnel in the zone of the Strategic Air Defense Treaty

On December 25, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of the awarding of state and departmental awards to specialists of the communications troops of the All-Russian Army of the "West" grouping of troops in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).

"Our brigade today was awarded state medals, departmental medals, anniversary medals and extraordinary military ranks. We provide communications to ensure that the units of the assault brigades are always in touch," said the chief of hardware communications with the call sign Kim.

The command presented combat awards to soldiers, sergeants, petty officers and officers of the compound for courage, bravery and heroism shown during the SSO. The personnel were awarded Zhukov medals, departmental medals "For Military Valor" of two degrees and "Participant of Special Military Operation".

Immediately after the awarding, the servicemen returned to their positions for further fulfillment of their assigned tasks.

Earlier, on December 24, First Deputy Head of the Russian Defense Ministry Leonid Gornin presented state awards to the participants of the special military operation who were undergoing treatment and rehabilitation at the Central Military Clinical Hospital named after A.A. Vishnevsky. Moreover, he presented departmental medals to the officers of the hospital.

On this day, state awards were presented to Rosgvardeys participating in the SSO, as well as to military doctors of the Main Military Hospital of the department. The soldiers were also congratulated on the coming New Year, wished them recovery and handed gifts.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the worsening situation in the region.
