United Russia representatives congratulated veterans on New Year's Eve


On December 25, the head of the central executive committee of the United Russia party, Alexander Sidyakin, launched the action "Happy New Year, veteran!", which the party annually organizes together with the "Victory Volunteers" movement.
"The action with "Happy New Year, veteran!" we hold annually for several years, as well as the presentation of gifts to front-line veterans on the eve of Victory Day. Preparing these kind, bright events, to our great regret, we see that there are fewer and fewer living witnesses of those events. Today there are just over 9 thousand of them left," he said.
Sidyakin noted that party activists, deputies of different levels, volunteers will reach each front-line veteran and hand them congratulatory kits.
"If any help is needed, it will certainly be provided. The solution of one or another problem of participants and invalids of the Great Patriotic War is always in the center of our attention. Deputies and volunteers are assigned to each of the frontline soldiers, they are always ready to come to the aid in this or that life situation," he specified.
In the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) Sidyakin visited Vitaly Chaikin, who took part in the Battle of Kursk, the liberation of Kharkiv and Poltava regions. During the performance of military tasks Chaikin was seriously wounded, but after hospitalization he participated in the liberation of Belarus and the Baltics.
In addition, in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR), representatives of United Russia congratulated the participant of the Great Patriotic War Tamara Fedchenko not only on New Year's Day, but also on her birthday.
Also on this day in Moscow, the chairman of the central council of supporters of "United Russia" Olga Zanko will visit the veteran Nikolai Imchuk, who since 2015 heads the Moscow regional organization of veterans of the Great Patriotic War - pupils of the army and navy.
In Nizhny Novgorod region "United Russia" activists at the start of the campaign will congratulate veterans of the Great Patriotic War Evgeny Makarov and Nikolai Shishkin, who are active in patriotic education, meet with young people, speak at schools and universities.
In Samara region activists of "United Russia" together with "Victory Volunteers" will congratulate the participant of the Great Patriotic War Alexander Lyubimov, and in the Nenets Autonomous District activists will congratulate the veteran Angelina Tarasova.
Earlier, on December 5, the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin congratulated Ivan Andreyevich Slukhai, a front-line veteran and honorary citizen of Moscow, on his 100th birthday. The mayor thanked the veteran for his loyalty and love for the Motherland, courage and bravery, and also wished him health and vigor.
