Stormtroopers described the progress of combat operations to liberate Chasov Yar

Russian Armed Forces (AF) fighters have told how the liberation of the town of Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) is progressing.
"Our task was to bring the personnel of our parachute battalion to the initial points where they could further conduct their further assault actions," a mechanized driver with the call sign Karzak commented to Izvestia.
His unit took part in the battle on the eastern outskirts of Chasov Yar, when Russian paratroopers attacked a dugout of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Thanks to the arrival of backup, the Russian Armed Forces units managed to accomplish their task.
The situation in the settlement is tense. Under the control of the Russian army are the eastern and northern neighborhoods of the city. Now the AFU garrison is surrounded in the center.
"Paratrooper combat vehicles, which are used for the landing of new assault groups, are being adapted to weather conditions. The hull is repainted white because of the fact that it snowed in Donbass, and this vehicle blends in very well and easily with the landscape. The enemy drones can hardly see it," Izvestia correspondent Alexander Fedorchak commented on the situation on the line of contact.
It was this kind of camouflage that once helped a group of paratroopers land close to one of the houses where Ukrainian fighters were located.
"[The Ukrainian armed forces] didn't even stick their heads out. The guys quietly went in at our place. <...> Mostly we bring in groups of six to eight people," the gunner-operator with the call sign Spets noted.
The correspondent noted that Russian servicemen are now working to push the enemy to the outskirts of the city, where it will be difficult for Ukrainian militants to hold their positions.
Earlier, on December 24, operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Russian volunteer unit Burevestnik told Izvestia on December 23 about the situation on the line of contact in Chasovy Yar in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR).
On that day, DNR head Denis Pushilin said that Russian forces had taken control of the Severny microdistrict in Chasovy Yar. He noted that the advance is not very fast, but it is successful.
Before that, on December 21, the Russian military defeated Ukrainian brigades near a number of DNR settlements, including Chasovy Yar.
On November 30, tankers of the Southern Group of Forces destroyed a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone control point near Chasov Yar. The strike was carried out by a T-72BZ tank, and the drone operators carried out fire correction and objective control.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
