Chairman of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia Alexander Bastrykin has instructed the head of the State Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Moscow Andrei Strizhov to organize an inspection after reports about raiders taking apartments from Muscovites and submit a report. This was reported on December 24 by the press service in the Telegram-channel of the IC.

It is specified that in the broadcast of the program "Vesti" on the TV channel "Russia 1" there was a story about how dozens of Muscovites became victims of raiders, who for debts take away their apartments and sell them through auctions.

"The progress of execution of the order is put under control in the central office of the IC of Russia", - informed the press service of the agency.

Earlier, on December 18, from the report of the research center "Analytics. Business. Law" revealed that in 2024 to 35% increased the share of sentences for fraud with gift contracts from the total number of sentences for real estate fraud. In recent years - from 2019 to 2024 - the number of convictions for real estate gift contract fraud nearly doubled, up 96%.
