Against the backdrop of a significant slowdown of the YouTube video hosting site, the number of fraudulent offers from various gas pedal services has increased, cybersecurity experts told Izvestia. Since mid-summer 2024, the number of such publications has grown from 100-150 to 300 per month and continues to increase.

The use of "workaround" programs entails potential dangers for users. First of all, this is data logging - that is, saving the history of all user actions, and thus actually tracking the user. Viruses or spyware are often hidden under applications for bypassing blocking, said an anonymous interlocutor of the publication.

The index of video orders for the first time equalized for mobile and fixed networks - the number in the first case reached 40%, and in the second 48%, said the service Vigo. According to Google's Traffic and Service Failures service, the platform's total traffic in Runet has fallen fourfold since June 2024.
