Private Vladimirov hit a machine gun crew and a unit of AFU infantry

Private Ivan Vladimirov has hit a machine gun crew and a unit of infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). On Wednesday, December 25, the Russian Defense Ministry described new feats of Russian servicemen in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).

While fighting armed saboteurs, Vladimirov hit a machine gun crew and a part of Ukrainian infantry with small arms fire. Despite their numerical superiority, the Ukrainian militants suffered significant losses and retreated. Thanks to the selfless actions of the private, the Russian army managed to reveal in advance the actions of the AFU in the area of responsibility of the Russian fighters and prevent the capture of positions.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the courage of Private Nikita Makarov, who, while at an observation post, detected and shot down an enemy kamikaze drone approaching the Russian positions. Realizing that there was still a threat of detonation of the drone, Makarov, risking his life, defused an explosive device on the fallen drone.

Earlier, on December 24, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Private Anatoly Zhukovets suppressed an AFU machine gun crew, hit some of the Ukrainian servicemen's living force and hit the vehicle they were advancing in. Under continuous fire from Ukrainian fighters, Zhukovets acted decisively on his section of terrain.

Prior to that, on December 23, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Junior Sergeant Andrei Amagzaev was carrying out tasks to guard and defend the positions of Russian troops on an important section of the front line. When the AFU attempted an offensive accompanied by artillery fire on the positions of the Russian troops, the serviceman conducted aimed fire from small arms at the advancing enemy.

The special operation to defend Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
