In the Republic of Bashkortostan the chairman of the regional state committee for housing and construction supervision - chief state housing inspector was detained for taking a bribe in a particularly large amount. This was reported by the press service of the Republican Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia on December 24.

According to preliminary data, the official demanded Br2.5 million from a commercial organization, which was building a logistics center in Blagoveshchensk, for signing a positive conclusion on the compliance of the built object with the design documentation.

The regional department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against the intruder under part 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Receipt of bribes"). 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Receipt of a bribe on a particularly large scale"), is informed on the official website of the agency.

Earlier, on December 10, Zamoskvoretsky District Court passed a sentence on the defendants in the case of embezzlement of 1.1 billion rubles in the supply of cars for the traffic police. The court sentenced them to terms of six to seven and a half years in a general regime colony and reimbursement of 1.1 billion rubles in favor of the Interior Ministry.
