Five powerful flares occurred on the Sun on December 24


The Sun on December 24, there were five flares of class M (penultimate power level), reported on the website of the Institute of Applied Geophysics (FGBU "IPG").
There noted that the most powerful flare occurred at night.
"December 24 at 03:19 Moscow time in the X-ray range in the group of spots 3932 (S18E23) registered flash M4.7 with a duration of ten minutes", - stated in the message of the Institute.
It is specified that during the day there were four more solar flares: M1.0 at 5:10 Moscow time, M4.2 at 11:41 Moscow time and two M1.1 at 14:10 and 17:10 Moscow time.
Earlier, December 20, two M-class flares occurred on the Sun. It was noted that the duration of the first flare was 15 minutes, and the second - seven minutes.
