A 65-year-old man tried to set fire to a police car in the center of Moscow. This was reported by the prosecutor's office of the capital in Telegram-channel on December 24.

"The man, following the telephone instructions of a person who introduced himself as a law enforcement officer, twice threw objects with flammable liquid into the police car. As a result of criminal actions, no one was injured," - is written in the message.

The Prosecutor's office reminded that it is not necessary to follow the instructions of unknown persons on the phone, no matter who they introduce themselves as. Any such call is aimed at involving citizens in crimes.

Earlier, on December 22, it became known that the number of attempts to set fire to administrative buildings and banks under the influence of fraudsters increased by 30%. It was reported that the attackers contact victims from whom they have stolen funds, and promise to return the money after the conclusion of a deal that involves the performance of illegal actions.
