"Immediately after the inauguration, I will instruct the Department of Justice to seek the death penalty to protect American families and children from brutal rapists, murderers and monsters," he wrote.

On the eve of the current US President Joe Biden commuted the punishment for 37 prisoners who were sentenced to death. The White House specified that the sentences will be reclassified to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
