A resident of Cheboksary was detained for justifying the terrorist attack in the Moscow Region "Crocus City Hall". This was reported by the Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Chuvash Republic on December 24.

The suspect in March this year posted in the social network materials that justified the actions of terrorists who attacked the shopping mall "Crocus City Hall", reports RIA Novosti. Also the man was brought to administrative responsibility for deliberate actions aimed at undermining the authority of the Armed forces of Russia.

A criminal case has been opened against him under Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public calls to carry out terrorist activities, public justification of terrorism").

The terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall took place on March 22. Terrorists in camouflage stormed into the building, shooting and setting fire to the concert hall. The attack killed 145 people and injured 551.

The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia said that the terrorists who committed the attack after the crime were supposed to cross the border between Russia and Ukraine, come to Kiev and receive the promised reward.

A criminal case has been opened under Article 205 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Terrorist Act"). In April, Russian Prosecutor-General Igor Krasnov said that there was an obvious Ukrainian trace in the case of the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall.
