Residents of CIS countries told about their plans for the New Year

The majority of residents of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Georgia plan to spend New Year holidays at home. This is stated in the results of the research of the Center for Research of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, which were presented to "Izvestia" on December 25. The experts found out how and where the residents of the countries of Wildberries marketplace presence celebrate the New Year.

Among Russians, 55% want to spend the holidays at home, while in Armenia - 61%, in Belarus - 60%, and in Kazakhstan - 59%. 22% of Georgians, 19% of Russians, 18% of Kazakhs will go to visit for the holidays. The share of other countries is less.

Almost everyone meets the New Year at home or in guests - only 1-2% of respondents said that they will be traveling around the country or abroad during the chimes. At the same time, most of those who will have to work on the night of January 1, are recorded in Belarus (16%).

Those who stay at home for the long weekend, plan to sleep and rest first of all - half of the respondents said so on average. At the same time, Russians are a bit more diverse in their leisure time - they also spend their time actively: they meet with relatives (46%), do sports (20%), hobbies and reading (44%). Residents of Georgia stand out from the crowd in terms of their intentions to go shopping - 15% of survey participants responded in this way - as well as the lowest share of those who will attend cultural events - only 1%. Participants of the survey from Armenia chose active vacations less often than others - 6%. In Belarus and Kazakhstan, such an answer was given by 12% of respondents.
