Russian Defense Ministry publishes footage of destruction of AFU pickup truck in Sumy region

The Russian Armed Forces' (RFAF) "North" troop group has destroyed a pickup truck with the Ukrainian Armed Forces' (AFU) manpower in Sumy Region with the help of an FPV drone. The footage was published on December 24 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is reported that at night a reconnaissance unit detected a pickup truck with militants using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

"After analyzing the intelligence received, a decision was made to fire on the pickup truck by the enemy," the ministry said in a statement.

The detected target was successfully eliminated. A direct hit on the enemies was recorded.

Earlier, on December 23, drone operators of the group of troops "North" destroyed reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) of the Armed forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Kharkiv region. It was reported that the drones continue to monitor the sky around the clock and identify reconnaissance UAVs of Ukrainian militants.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the worsening situation in the region.
